August 7, 2018 - Visited Otavalo Market & back to Quito

This is the last tour of our whole trip.  We traveled north east to the PanAmerican Highway.  We heard about this highway and did not know the actual route of this highway.  From our guide, we learned that this is a highway from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, USA all the way to Ushuaia, Argentina.
On the way to Otovalo, our guide told us about the Cayambe Volcano.  We were able to see it from the highway.  Then we stopped by Hosteria Miralago for the view of Largo San Pable with the Imbabura Volcano on the background.  At Hsteria Miralago, it has a beautiful viewpoint balcony. And they also have a llama and an alpaca in their backyard for photo taking.
Then, we visited the Otovalo Market, showcasing brightly colored and unique handicrafts. It was just for the souvenir shopping.
Later, our guide took us to a local artist's (Jose Cotacacht) shop in Peguche for seeing the weaving in his home.  His work is artistically designed with unique patterns.  Quite a few of us purchased his wonderful work.

Then we traveled to Hacienda Casin on our way back to Quito for lunch.  It was owned by an English couple as part of their resort.  They also have a rose farm next to the restaurant.  Unfortunately, they don’t open their rose farm for tour.
Then we went back to Quito in early afternoon to rest up for tonight’s 12:20AM shuttle ride to the airport for our return flight.
